Fast fashion has become a major concern due to its negative impact on the environment and labor practices. As a responsible designers, at Chic & Paris we are careful from where we are buying from. We think it is important to make informed choices to stay away from fast fashion.
What is Fast Fashion?
Fast fashion refers to the rapid production of garments, with poor working conditions, use of chemical products rather than soft and non toxic.
Invest in Quality Pieces
Instead of buying cheap items that will fall apart after a few wears, we recommend to invest in high-quality, timeless pieces that will last for years. Look for well-made garments with durable fabrics that won't go out of style.
Support Sustainable Brands
Research and support brands that prioritize sustainability and ethical practices. Look for certifications like Fair Trade, GOTS (Global Organic Textile Standard), or B Corp to ensure that the brand is committed to social and environmental responsibility.
At Chic & Paris we aimed to be B Corp certified. We are working to be a Pending B Corp company.
Learn to Mend and Upcycle
Extend the life of your clothing by learning basic sewing skills to mend tears, replace buttons, or hem garments. Fabric and leather bags can be dyed if stained. Jewelleries can be repaired.
